About the Position

We seek a Business Development professional experienced with Workforce Development and/or other relevant public sector agencies focused on developing, planning, and implementing effective workforce development strategies for all job training and workforce programs.   You must have business development experience in this vertical with a terrific reputation and a proven track record for overachieving quota while focusing on the client.  Our products provide clients with labor market intelligence, resume processing and workflow, job matching, and other services to help schools, students, and potential employers navigate the job market.

 

The ideal candidate must have the following attributes:

  • Broad understanding of the government acquisition process, specifically the government's IT acquisition process
  • Record of working closely with customers to produce solutions that exceed their business expectations in a rapidly evolving technology domain
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Support business development by contributing to the development of proposals
  • Arranging initial sales meetings and meeting the client
  • Determining a client's business requirements and whether the products being considered are suitable
  • Answering any technical questions, the client might have

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience working with state and local workforce development agencies or chambers of commerce
  • Experience in consultative customer engagement
  • Experience working with LMI preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce CRM platform
