  • Overview

    As a Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for gathering requirements, developing use cases, drafting functional and technical specifications, and proposing technical solutions for new and existing clients. You will be a subject-matter expert in the BGT solution suite, API, and extension points and will handle technical requests related to custom development, report development, and integrations with external systems. As a Solutions Architect, you will also engage in pre-sales activities both via the phone and on-site client meetings. You will act as the primary representative for Professional Services, using your in-depth application and technical knowledge to identify, discuss and document solutions for clients’ needs. You will work closely with our Sales Representatives across HCM, Workforce and Education.


    As a Solutions Architect, a typical day might include:

    • Working with Sales Representatives to lead client-facing technical requirements gathering sessions.
    • Working closely with clients and development teams as data is being gathered to ensure comprehensive and accurate transfer of information.
    • Leading interactions between internal stakeholders and Sales Representatives to support customers in their technical evaluation process and deliver optimal solutions to clients
    • Working closely with clients to help them identify how BGT can help them solve business problems while keeping expectations within BGT capabilities and offerings.
    • Interface with the product teams to articulate key product and solutions needs in both SaaS, API and data driven solutions
    • Analyzing client business processes, needs and strategies to document and validate required functionality and rationalize functionality with appropriate technology solutions.
    • Proactively communicating and collaborating with external and internal customers to establish vision for complex solutions to analyze information needs and functional requirements, ensuring client expectations are met and technical details are delivered upon
    • Function as the “voice of the market” for product development and data science teams to ensure development and data initiatives/roadmaps are in line with market needs
    • Actively involved in product boards and strategy to articulate market and client requirements
    • Establishing a technical vision for complex, Enterprise projects.
    • Operating as the key liaison between BGT’s business units, technology teams, QA, and support teams.


    This job might be for you if:

    • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Management or a related discipline.
    • You have 2-4 years’ experience as a Solutions Architect or relevant Sales and/or Product experience. .
    • You have demonstrated experience in the definition and execution of Enterprise software projects.
    • You have experience in Business Process Analysis and experience in all phases of a SDLC (Systems Development Lifecycle) methodology.
    • You have experience with web technologies, languages and frameworks
    • You have strong verbal, written, organizational, analytical, presentation and interpersonal skills.

    Experience in a Software as a Service (SaaS) environment.
