About the Position:
We seek an experienced policy research leader to drive and grow Burning Glass’s labor market research practice providing data-driven insights and thought leadership to national foundations, consulting firms, think tanks, educational institutions, and employers. The successful candidate will manage an ambitious program that includes both proposing and delivering commissioned client studies and shaping and executing Burning Glass’s own highly respected thought leadership agenda.
He or she will have primary responsibility for expanding our research portfolio, leveraging Burning Glass’s unique data set to uncover cutting edge insights and to advance the company’s perspective on policy challenges in workforce and education. The ideal candidate has track record of producing influential research for a national audience, is a skilled writer and policy analyst, and is confident with a range of data analysis techniques.
The Director will also bring substantial experience in business development. He or she will be responsible for identifying and developing relationships with potential clients, partners, and sponsors in order to drive and grow a steady book of high impact projects.
